MeWelcome to my personal website. Here you will find some basic information about me, what I like to do, where I go to school, what classes I have taken, and the kind of work I have done at Linfield College in pursuit of my Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Computer Science and Math.
About Me

I am from Medford, a town of about 70,000 in Southern Oregon (about 30 miles north of California). The town has two High Schools, North Medford and South Medford. I attended South Medford High School, home of the Panthers. There I was involved in Computer Science, German, and Digital Media courses and clubs, which I continue to be involved in at Linfield.

This summer, 2008, from June 17th to August 22nd I worked as an intern at Nike's corporate headquarters in Beaverton, OR. For these two months, I worked in their IT department, specifically the Integrated Planning group. While I cannot share my work outside of Nike, I can say that I had an amazing experience. Nike is a wonderful company and has a very encouraging work environment. I hope to return there after graduation for a second internship that may turn into a full-time job.

Hobbies and Interests

I am fascinated by and interested in almost everything. I love to play sports, especially golf and basketball. However, my passions in life are movies, music, and web design. I love to be creative. In November 2004 my friend Scott Rowan and I started our own movie production company called Row1 Productions.

So far we have produced three movies under that name. Our first was Perseus Episode I: The Phantom Medusa in November 2004. It is the Greek myth of Perseus, but retold in present time. It was an English project for our AP Literature class and kick-started our interest in movie making. In March, 2005 we produced our second movie entitled William Shakespeare. It was another English project and also my senior project. It is the story of William Shakespeare told in the style of Forrest Gump. It's my favorite of the three movies we have produced. Our final movie was finished in August 2005. Entitled First Degree, it was our first entirely original movie. We wrote the script, made up the story, and I created the score, which brings me to music.

I have always loved listening to and making music of any kind. However, after eighth grade I began to lose interest in band (I had been playing trumpet since fifth grade). In 2004 my interest in music was reborn when I got a guitar. Since then I have been teaching myself how to play and have been progressing nicely since. Playing guitar is my newest passion and it won't be dying anytime soon. In addition to guitar, I recently started playing the piano. In the fall 2008 semester, I took a beginning piano class at Linfield. It was a fun, relaxing way to learn how to play piano and I hope to continue learning outside of class. Find out what kind of music I buy on iTunes.

In the past year, my interest in web design and web programming has grown and is quickly becoming another passion of mine. This interest has sparked the redesign of this website you see here as well as other projects. They include a website called BAM Training, a site for my sister's personal training business, an independent study project that was completed in December 2007, and a lacrosse website for a youth lacrosse group in Tigard, Oregon. One day I hope to be able to have a full-time job as a web designer/programmer.
